Mango Founder’s Son Arrested Over Mysterious Death of Billionaire Isak Andic

A stunning development has sent shockwaves through the international business and fashion communities. Jonathan Andic, 45, the eldest son and heir of billionaire Mango founder Isak Andic, has been arrested by Spanish authorities on charges of murder in connection with his father’s death.

The case dates back to December 2024, when 71-year-old Isak Andic died after falling over 150 meters from a cliff during a hiking trip near Barcelona. Jonathan Andic, who currently serves as vice chairman of the fashion empire’s board, was the sole witness to the tragic fall.

While the case was initially ruled an accidental hiking mishap, Spanish magistrates reopened the file in March 2025 following new forensic evidence and glaring inconsistencies in Jonathan’s testimony. By October of that year, prosecutors officially reclassified the probe as a potential homicide investigation.

Jonathan Andic appeared before a Martorell court on Tuesday for intense questioning. Following the hearing, the judge granted provisional release to the executive upon posting a staggering €1 million bail, which was promptly paid by his legal team. The news comes at a sensitive time for the retail giant Mango, which recently reported record revenues of €3.8 billion, cementing its place as a global leader in fast fashion.
